Gothic Court Scene Brussels, 1510-1520 Coloured wools and silks Dimensions 10ft 19in x 8ft 9in 3.28 x 2.67m This splendid representation of late Gothic court life seems to depict a coronation. The tapestry is unusual for its small dimensions and its exceptionally well-preserved colours. Similar tapestries were ordered by Cardinal Wolsey in 1517 for Hampton Court Palace.
